At Flying Pig, we know only too well that many ‘luxury’ apartments turn out, on closer inspection, not to be that luxurious at all. That’s not true of our apartments. For a start, we won’t even buy an apartment to renovate unless it’s spacious and airy. And we’re certainly not keen on apartments filled with awkward partitions designed to sneak in an extra bedroom. We’d prefer to use the same space to create a stunning one-bedroom home where the rooms flow.
Naturally, we renovate our apartments to the same high standards that we apply when refurbishing houses. The fabric of our apartments – the doors, moldings and skirting boards – is as it would have been when they were built. But we’ve also found that apartments often suit renovations with carefully chosen contemporary flourishes.
That’s why we might install a stunning bathroom that wouldn’t seem out of place in a boutique hotel. Or a high-gloss kitchen with marble tops to reflect the sunlight. The overall aim? The best of both period detail and modern design, brilliantly combined.
Apartment Case Study
Let other developers deal in cramped flats, we prefer apartments with spacious rooms, high ceilings and light-filled spaces.
